She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lawrence Faison and Mary Barrett Faison; her husband Edwin David Atkins; her son Chris Atkins; and her siblings, Eunice Hatfield, Evelyn Benton, Pearl Pulley, Dan, Mills, Glenn, Samuel and James Faison.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia A. Cannon, Valerie A. Morrell (Chris), Mark A. Atkins (Cheryl) and Lester E. Atkins (Tina); her brother Albert Faison; and her close friend Joyce Spivey. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
