He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thomas Richards and Anne Minter Richards; and his brother Carl Richards. He is survived by: his wife Sidney Inez Richards; his sons, Buc Richards (Valerie), Roy Richards (Lynn) and Chuck Richards; his grandchildren, Ryan Richards (Megan), Tyler Richards (Samantha), Linwood Grimes and Ada Butler; and his brother Bill Richards (Priscilla).
