She was predeceased by: her parents, Nina Alderman Hatcher and Norris Clark Hatcher Sr.; and her sister Eleanor Hatcher Stanley. She is survived by: her husband Franklin S. Kurtz Jr.; her children, Rebecca E. K. Rice (Monte) and Franklin S. Kurtz III (Mara); her grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin), Nina, Courtney, Delilah and Serena; her great grandchildren, Kelsea, Addilyn and Finley; and her sister Harriet Hatcher Shore. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, South Plains Presbyterian Church, The Nature Conservancy, or the charity of your choice.
