Oliver R. Southard Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 25, 2023, at the age of 86, Oliver R. Southard in Franklin, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mae Glover Southard and Charles Vinton Southard, Sr.; his wife Sandra Thacker; and his siblings, Charles, Jr. and Phyllis Tutwiler.
He is survived by: his son Bryan; his daughter-in-law Patricia; his daughter Teresa; his grandson Joshua Jackson (Breea); his siblings, Maynard and Janice Chapman; and his friends, Bob Minnich, Jim Simmons, Dave Emswiler, Tom Hanlon and Nolan McCone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department or the Rockingham County SPCA.
