He is survived by: his wife Rita VanAken Edwards; his children, Nial P. Edwards, Jr. (Kimberly), Tina Wallace (Joseph), Kenneth A. Edwards (Megan) and Joann McKenny (Horace); his siblings, Berthann Apple (Larry), Sandra Edwards, Robert Edwards (Mary-Jean), Roger Edwards (Nancy) and Donald Edwards (Elaine); his grandchildren, Jacob Edwards, Brian Edwards (Claire), Evan Edwards, Christina Reilly, Jesse Wallace, Zachary Edwards, Meredith Edwards and Brent McKeon (Danielle); and his great grandchild Wesley James Edwards.
