It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mills Robert Edwards of Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Tyler Edwards and Fannie Marks Edwards; his wife Lois Drewry Edwards; his brothers, Tyler Edwards, Jr. and Marks Edwards; his grandson Kris Cooper; and his daughter-in-law Starr Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky E. Copeland (Peter) of Franklin, Lisa E. Obenchain (Scott) of Dublin, VA, Bobby Edwards of Conway, SC and Doug Edwards (Candy) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Amber Casstevens (Chad), Landon Copeland (Lyndsay), Gene Wilder, Tina Wilder, Lindsay Hill, Courtney Edwards (Austin), Kaycie Lowe (Josh), Kristen Crocker (Brett) and Nicole Obenchain; and his great grandchildren, Emilee, Evelyn, Samson, Rose, Ruby, Rutledge, Blakely, Bowen, Brandon, Logan, Hailey, Megan, Tressa, Paige, Alyssa, Chloe, Faith, Noah, Kristgen and Kari. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Sycamore Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. .
