With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary B Blythe of Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on August 5, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Babb and Mary "Mamie" Babb of Windsor, VA; her husband W. Irvin Blythe; her siblings, John H. Babb, Jr., William T. Babb, Georgia B. Stewart and Annie B. Copeland; and her great grandchild Sarah Fisher Blythe.
She is survived by: her son Wayne; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Blythe; her grandsons, Randall Blythe, Mark Blythe, Scott Blythe (Bianca) and Andrew Blythe; her great grandchild Lucas Blythe; her nieces, Kitty Henry, Carolyn Parrish, Patsy Copeland and Pauline Austin; her nephew John S. Copeland (Nelda); her daughter-in-law Susan Blythe; and her nieces, Sylvia Lowe, Dale and Lisa Cisco.
Given the resurgent danger of COVID-19 variants, the family requests the wearing of masks.
In lieu of flowers, Mary had requested donations in her memory to Macular Degeneration research. The family suggests donations to Duke Eye Center.
