She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Edward Ricks Sr. and Lina Belle Story Ricks; her husband William Ernest Preedy; and her siblings, Richard Edward Ricks Jr. of Southampton County, VA., Millard Howard Ricks of Southampton County, VA., Etheleen Virginia Ricks of Southampton County, VA., Franklin Linwood Ricks of Southampton County, VA., Joseph Wallace Ricks of Southampton County, VA. and Ethel "Ricki" Ricks Benton of Southampton County, VA..
She is survived by: her brother Calvin Edison Ricks (Sally) of Capron, VA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
