With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Johnson Ellis (Franklin, Virginia), born in Castor, Louisiana, who passed away on July 23, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lee and Mable Riser Johnson; and her son Andrew Edmund "Andy" Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Rev. Edmund Emery Ellis; her son Lee Warner Ellis (Faye) of Galax, VA; her siblings, Peggy Cloud (Lehane) of Shreveport, LA, Becky Castles (Joel) of Winnsboro, SC, Joe Johnson (Ann) of Bossier City, LA and Billy Johnson (Ruth Anne) of Elkins, NC; her grandchildren, Rachael Morse (Matt), Sarah Brazzale (Ryan) and Scott Ellis (Liz); and her great grandchildren, Conor Brazzale and Lily Brazzale.
