He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Ervin and Mildred Ervin; and his wife Carol Eakin Ervin of Cambridge Springs, PA.. He is survived by: his sons, David Matthew Ervin (Addy) and Joe (Sandy); his grandchildren, Lanie, Larson of Greenville, SC, Taylor and Joslyn of Virginia Beach, VA; and his siblings, Beverly Arthur (Bob) of Vero Beach, FL, James Ervin (Marilyn) of The Villages, FL and Cheryl Palmiero (Ken) of Tampa, FL..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Joseph Built the Permanent Home (117 N High St, Franklin, VA 23851).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community Foundation at 1501 Virginia Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22802 or to the RMH Foundation at 2010 Health Campus Drive Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
