He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Brodie. He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Brodie; his children, Faren Brodie and James C. Brodie, Jr. (Brandy); his stepchildren, Melissa Wyatt (Percy), Kotina Lawson (Lynn) and William Elliott (Althea); and his sister Deloris Bolling (Randolph). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
