He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Elmer Harris, Sr. and Lillian Page Harris; his former wife Carolyn Booth Harris; his sister Elizabeth Ogden; and his daughter Patty Harris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Hutchings (Bill) of Durham, NC and Barbara Burton (Jeff); and his stepsons, David Thompson of Richmond, Gary Thompson (Melonie) of Williamsburg and Stephen Thompson (Phil) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and two nieces.
