She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryland W. Gillette and Lucy Saunders Gillette; her husband C. Linwood Vaughan; her siblings, Mary G. Whitley, Anne G. Cross and Joseph E. Gillette; her daughter Cynthia V. Jarvis; her son-in-law J. Martin Jarvis; and her friend Sam Butler, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Glenn T. Vaughan; her sister Ryland G. Newsome; her grandsons, James M. Jarvis, Jr. (Ashley), Jason T. Jarvis (April) and Kevin V. Jarvis; her great grandchildren, Evan Taylor Jarvis, Evelyne, Danielle, Sadie, Kollyn and Jolie; her sister-in-law Clara T. Gillette; and her friend Antionette Joyner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
