It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Andrew Short Jr. of Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Andrew Short, Sr. and Delmar Goodrich White; and his daughter Madison Short. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Allman (Josh) of Virginia Beach and Daniel Short III (Brittany) of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, Sophia, Bella Fortag, Dixie-Lynn Short, Rivers Allman, Ruby Allman and Alivia Short; and his siblings, Dennis "Bear" Short (Diana), Dwayne Short (Lynn), Melindanne Grover (Keith), David Short (Lisa), Dawn Robey (Danny) and Dianna Canady (Aaron).
