Carol Jane Pope Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2024, at the age of 88, Carol Jane Pope (Franklin, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Van Buren Loughry and Freda Alice Helmick Loughry; her former husband Donald F. Lowther; and also, Robert W. Pope, Benton Miller, Audery Miller Long, Sharon, Allen and Damen Loughry.
She is survived by: her children, Christina M. Worrell (Harold Dean), Donald F. Lowther, Jr. (Paula) and Donna Lowther Bolinger; her stepchildren, Bobby Pope (Winnie) and Cheryl Pope; her sister Elenor Loughry Akins; and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, Matthew, Joshua, Heather, Kasie, Jedediah, John, Sammy and Steven. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11AM to 1PM prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sunbeam Baptist Church, 31226 Sunbeam Rd., Franklin VA 23851.
