It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Sue Holland of Franklin, Virginia, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry B. Greenslitt and Grace E. Furr Greenslitt; her husband James H. "Jimmy" Holland Sr.; and her pet Sammie. She is survived by: her children, Debra Holland, Cheryl Willis (Ron), Patricia Whitley (Frankie) and James H. Holland, Jr. (Lady); her siblings, Shirley Allsup and Raymond Greenslitt; her grandchildren, Jonathan Whitley (Brandi), Chris Whitley (Jules), Kevin Whitley (Amy), Travis Holland (Erin), Marissa Myers (Aaron) and Alicia Alkire; her great grandchildren, Claire Whitley, Finley Myers, Dylan Myers, Gage Whitley, Emerson Whitley, Zavion Parker, Alex Parker, Kylar Holland, Dallas Holland, Elle Holland and Camryn Holland; her close friends, Joyce Borg and Rita Edwards; and her caregiver Annette Giles.
