It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph D Higgins Sr. of Fort Valley, Virginia, born in Lexington, Virginia, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Nelson Higgins; his son Herman "Joey" Mason; and his siblings, Effie Robinson, Sam Higgins and Herman Higgins, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, David Higgins (Tiny) of Strasburg, VA, Danny Higgins (Tammy) of Lebanon Church, VA, Dawne Higgins of Strasburg, VA and Jody Higgins of Strasburg, VA; his siblings, Richard Higgins of Bentonville, VA, Mildred Van Ness of Winchester, VA and Fred Higgins of Virginia Beach, VA; and his pet Flash. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Dementia Foundation in memory of Ralph and Judy.
