It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Higgins (Fort Valley, Virginia), born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on September 17, 2019, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Jesse and Nellie Rebecca Vandevender Nelson; her son Herman Mason Higgins; and her brothers, Larry Nelson and Wayne Nelson.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph D. Higgins, Sr. of Fort Valley, VA; her children, Dawne Higgins of West Virginia, David Higgins of Strasburg, VA, Jody Higgins Strasburg and Danny Higgins of Lebanon Church, VA; and her siblings, Jerry Nelson, Sr. of Vienna, VA, Bill Nelson of St George, UT, Lee Conley of Chantilly, VA and Donnie Nelson of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
