It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy Sanders (Fort Blackmore, Virginia), who passed away on February 7, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Sanders and Venus Pierson Sanders; his wife Verna Smith Sanders; his brother Fred Sanders; his niece Sherry Sanders; and his brother-in-law Charles Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Johnson (Michael), Rhonda Williams (D. J.), Samuel Sanders (Dawn) and Eddie Sanders; his siblings, Geraldine "Gerri" Lee, Betty Graham (Tom), Mima Lawson (Otis), Ina Owens (Paul), Reba Turbyfill (Gary), Reverend Mack Sanders (Mary) and Russell Sanders (Bobbie Jo); his aunts, Sarah Belle Sanders and Margie Sanders; and his uncle Clyde Pierson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren.
