He was predeceased by: his parents, George Darnell of Washington and Elsie Florence Darnell; and his sister Georgie Carter. He is survived by: his wife Faye Susie Darnell; his children, Peggy Darnell, Randall Darnell (Becky), Regina Estepp (William), Sandra Edwards (Gabriel) and Rose Darnell; his grandchildren, Steve, Brittany, William, Jasmaine, Toby, Jeremiah, Aleshia, Hailey and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Layne, Callie, Danny Darnell, Mary Leonard and Cody Wells; and his brother Jay Darnell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gate City Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
