He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Vernon Salling and Mary Belle Elliott Salling; his wife Bonnie Hillman Salling; his son-in-law Greg Newland; his father-in-law James Ketron Hillman; his sisters, Beverly Barnette, Barbara Summey, Bethel Brock, Betty Bledsoe, Blanche Wolfe, Bobbie Cruby and Beatrice Lane; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Cruby, Junior Summey, Robert Bledsoe, Jerry Wolfe and Wayne Hill (Barlow).
He is survived by: his children, Catherine Hall (Harold), James Salling (Sandy) and Wilma Newland; his grandchildren, Paige Keller (Steven), Jeremy Hall (Jamie), Heather Peterson (Josh) and Holly Jones (Mike Heller); his great grandchildren, Maci, Mason, Hayden and Colin; and his siblings, Carol Hill, Bernice Arrington (Howard), Brenda Mann and Buford Salling (Brenda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
