She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Dietl and Margaret Echle Dietl; her husband Richard Frank Fleig, Sr.; and her partner Col. Leslie Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, Anne Rinzel (Daniel) of Alexandria, VA and Richard F. Fleig, Jr. (Carline) of Portsmouth, RI; and her grandchildren, U. S. Navy Diver 2nd Class Petty Officer, William Stevens (Sabrina), Lt. Tyler J. Fleig, U. S. Navy and Adam Reece.
