He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shumaker and Phyllis Shumaker. He is survived by: his wife Cora Ann Shumaker; his children, Cindy Hall, Wayne Shumaker (Rhonda) and David Shumaker; his grandchildren, Kara (Derrick), Tyler (Katie), Thomas (Emily) and Tanner; his great grandchildren, Haley, Paisley and Addison; and his sister Marian Brintley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd. Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
