It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Louise Staton Johnson (Forest, Virginia), born in Amherst, Virginia, who passed away on July 6, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abner Garrett Staton and Hattie Tomlin Staton. She is survived by: her husband Julian Douglas Johnson; her children, Donna Letchford (Vincent) of Monroe, Michael D. Johnson (Phyllis) of Forest and Beverly Dawn Goff (Christopher) of Big Island; and her sister Maggie S. Tyree of Lynchburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
