She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Alfred Lipes and Oscar Milton Lipes; her husband Carlos Alonza Akers; her daughter Carol Ann Akers; her siblings, Harold Wayne Lipes, William Curtis Lipes, Buddy Ray Lipes and Nancy Lipes Nicely; and her son-in-law John H. Richardson.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry A. Richardson of Rustburg; her grandchildren, Jennifer D. Akers of Forest, Wesley K. Richardson (Haile) of Indian Trail, NC and John H. Richardson Jr. (Kim) of Gretna, Virginia.; her great grandchildren, Kaitlin R. Horn, Jayden Richardson, Abigail Richardson and Xander Richardson; and her close friends, Dorothy Weese of Covington, VA, Judy Durham of Forest and Brenda Stading of Rustburg Virginia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in honor and memory of Juanita to Yellow Branch Baptist Church in Rustburg Virginia where she was a member.
