He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hamilton Peters and Ollie "Bet" Gillispie Peters; his grandsons, Andrew Huff and Phillip Peters; his great grandchild Zayden Pollard; his son-in-law Roger Brown; and his siblings, Gracie Bryant, Iris Burns, Willie Peters, Henry Peters, Dalton Peters, Lester Peters and Jonas Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Carey Pollard Peters; and his children, Debra Jean Huff "Red", Polly Ann Peters, Teresa Robin Patterson "David", Peggy Sue Brown, Dana Marie Hare "Russ", Dawn Procell "Steve", Dale Pollard and Darrell Pollard "Patsye".
