He was predeceased by: his parents, Onyx S. Metz and Arlene Litchford Metz; and his brother O. Richard Metz. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Epperson Metz; his children, Franklin H. "Hank" Metz Jr. (Amber Evans Metz), Julie Metz Kershner (Jim Kershner) and Frosty Metz Peto (Raymond J. Peto, Jr.); his grandchildren, Steven Ricciuti (Brandi), Hunter Metz, Suzy Metz, Frances Arlene Metz, Makynna Campbell and Ruger Tyree; and his great grandchildren, Mason Ricciuti and Bennett Ricciuti. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
