It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Garland Wilks (Forest, Virginia), born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on July 1, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Wilks and Clara Wilks of Concord, VA.; his sister Carolyn Faye Waller of San Antonio, TX.; his son Andrew "Andy" Christian Wilks of Goode, VA; and his granddaughter Emma Claire Keller of Forest, VA..

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ranson Wilks; and his children, Jon Wilks (Sarai), Leslie, Jon David, Jared Fizer, Sky Wade, Kelly Wilks Keller (Andrew Keller), Matthew, Katie, Abby, Nicholas, Noah, Gabriel, Samuel, Timothy and Jacob.
