He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Sampson and Lola Sampson. He is survived by: his significant other Gaynell Johnson Sampson; his children, Lisa Farmer (Bill) of Forest, Joy Parker (David) of Virginia Beach and Mark Sampson of Danville; and his siblings, D. W. Sampson, Wanda Smith (Wayne) and Karen Booher (Ron). He is also survived by his five granddaughters, two great grandchildren.
