He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Vaughan and Clarence Augusta Vaughan; and his brothers, Vincent Vaughan, Thomas Vaughan, William Vaughan, Robert Vaughan and Clarence Albert Vaughan Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Betty Marie Vaughan; his children, Alice Vaughan (Telis), Jerome Vaughan and Sharon Morgan (Keith); his siblings, Katherine Vaughan of Petersburg, Alwyn Vaughan (Deborah) of Prince George and Eugene Vaughan of Petersburg; his siblings-in-law, Diane Street of Dinwiddie, Leatha Winfield, Carrie Bonner of Prince George, Alice Parker (Charlie) of Norfolk, Carolyn Vaughan of New Jersey and Emmett Coleman (Chris) of Pittsburg, PA.; his grandchildren, Jolisa Malone (Darren), Eric Bowman, Jeron Lee, Equasha Smith (Quady), Sharniece Vaughan (Boogirl), Telisha Shepherd, Derian Vaughan (Ta) and Sumayah Shepherd (Maya); and his nephew Clarence Street of Chesterfield. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
