He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Butler and Francis Butler. He is survived by: his wife Judith Cone Butler; his daughter Keri L. Cozino (Neil); his grandchildren, Kyleigh Watts, Michael "Wes" Watts, Jr., Joseph Wayne Cozino, Lil Neil Cozino III, James Cozino and Anthony Cozino; his brother Beverly Butler (Gail); his niece Monica Butler; and his nephew Jason Butler (Dawn).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834). He began his service with the Downing Ruritan Club, where he remained a member until the club disbanded during COVID.
