He was predeceased by: his parents, Worley S. "Sam" Bishop, Sr. and Estella "Jackie" Bishop; and his granddaughter Sawyer Lynn Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marty; his children, Sandra "Sandi" Bishop Smith and Michael "Mike" Bishop (Jessica); his grandchildren, Stefan "Sam" Bishop (Michaela), Sydney Smith, Joel "Max" Bishop (Hailey) and Sloan Smith; his great grandchildren, Sofia, Daisy, Killian, Echo, Revan and Fox Bishop; and his sister Loretta Bishop Hicks (Jack).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gardner Funeral Home (202 E Oxford St, Floyd, VA 24091). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
