He is survived by: his wife Louise Compton Via; his children, Mark Via (Karen) of Floyd, VA and Sarah Browning (Michael) of Copper Hill, VA; his daughter-in-law Vicky W Via of Roanoke, VA.; his grandchildren, Melissa V. Johnson of Fincastle, VA, Angela Myers (Mike) of Floyd, VA, Patricia Moore of Roanoke, VA, Laura Lee Allen (Brandon) of Floyd, VA, Ryan Browning (Sarah) of Daleville, VA and Matthew Browning (Stephanie) of Troutville, VA.; his great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Emma, Eli, Trevan, Kaylee, Ashby, Addison, Nash, Tucker, Sada, Abigail, Hannah, Peyton, Elliana and Adelyn; and his siblings, George Via (Thelma), David Via (Lois Ann), Lena Taylor and Pearl Johnson.
