She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Lester and Mae Lester; and her siblings, Mazie Cook (Fred), Cleo Gardner (Clifton), Edgel Lester (Grace) and Eugene Lester.
She is survived by: her husband Henry McDaniel; her daughters, Allison Hogan, Leslie Newman (Chris) and Tracy Grubbs (Terry); her grandchildren, Lauren Furrow, Jacob Newman and Zachary Newman; her great grandchildren, Olivia Newman, Austin Furrow and Jackson Furrow; and her close friends, Donnie Alderman and Curtis Nolen. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
