He was predeceased by: his wives, Clara East Smith and Mabel Delaney Smith; his parents, Alfred Smith and Annie Smith; and his siblings, Phyllis Hall and Jimmy Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Woolwine (Teresa), Melissa Elliott (Joey) and Kim Bailey (Ken); and his grandchildren, Amber Piland, Brandon Alderman, Austin Alderman, Brett Elliott, Paul Davis, Haley Hunt, Victoria Hunt, Clara Hunt, Kenny Bailey, Tamara Bailey, Amber Bailey and Chelsea McGuire.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Horne Funeral Home (1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
