It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie May Linkous Overstreet of Floyd, Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Lewis Overstreet (Johnny); her parents, David E Linkous and Winnie B Linkous of Blacksburg; her brother Colbern Linkous; her sibling-in-law Radie Kessinger Linkous; her brother Clifford Linkous; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Calhoun Linkous; and her siblings, Martinsville, Albert "Bud" Linkous, Christiansburg, Elmer L. Linkous, Roanoke, Weldon Linkous of Bassett, Naomi Ruth Linkous and Frances Linkous Cupp of Blacksburg.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley Linkous Howard of Riner; and also Dr. John Hoge Woolwine Jr. of Blacksburg.
