We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2023, at the age of 60, Mark Anthony Short (Floyd, Virginia), born in Newport News, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Forrest of Floyd, Laela Shortt of Floyd, Merritt of Floyd and Pearl Akers of Floyd. He is survived by: his parents, Marshall Shortt and Joyce Akers Shortt of Newport News, VA; his wife Laura Lee McComas Shortt of Dover; his brother Timothy Shortt (Milara) of Tampa Bay, FL; and his pet Bailey.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made St Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
