She is survived by: her parents, Amy Elizabeth Sykora Higgins of Willis, Virginia and Dana Higgins of Galax, Virginia; her sister Alisha Higgins of Willis Virginia; her grandparents, Janie Higgins of Galax, Virginia, Phillip and Carol Sykora of Louisville, Kentucky; her great-grandparent Betty James of Willis, Virginia; her aunts and uncles, Terry, Betsy Higgins of Galax, Virginia, Karen and Randal Long of Fayetteville; her great-aunt Carol Futchko of Dugspur, Virginia; her cousins, Raymond Higgins (Crystal) and Randall Higgins; and her close friends, Gail, Eric Carr and Kim Bullard. She is also survived by several other cousins, great- aunts, great-uncles and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully donations be made to the rescue and care for abandoned animals.
