He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Joseph McGuirk and Doris Thompson McGuirk. He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon McGuirk and Kelly McGuirk (Jake); his grandchildren, Braylon Butler, Ryan Dempsey and Sofiea Butler; his sister Louise Prusia (Richard); his niece Tiffany Prusia; and his close friends, Sherri Hodnett (Linwood) and David Elliot.
