He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kirk Dent and Naomi Goodwin Dent. He is survived by: his wife Marie Mabes Dent; his son Robert Kirk Dent II (Marcia); his grandson Donald Kirk II (Cannady); his great grandchildren, Trey, Colt, Naomi and Maggie Landis George (George); and his stepgrandchildren, Emily Bryant Kahn and Gregory Mason Bryant. He is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren.
