She was predeceased by: her husband JP Weeks; her daughter Rebecca Weeks; her son-in-law William Cagle; and her parents, George Minnick and Sallie Minnick.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Ellinger (Kerry), Jane Straus (Sam), Rachel Cagle and James Weeks (Jack McMahon); her grandchildren, Relana Durrette (Dan), Christie Bassett (Mark), Brian Ellinger, Phillip Goad, Rachel Straus, Adrienne Ownby (Greg) and Nathan Straus; her great grandchildren, Elise Durrette, Jordan Bassett (Jess), Derek Bassett, Noelle Bassett, Landon Goad (Miah), Gavin Goad, Dameron Hannah Ownby, Jaks Ownby and Casey Ellinger; her great great grandchildren, Jeremy Durrette and Ariel Goad; her nephew Joseph Sowers; and her niece Anne Sowers Broyhill.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gardner Funeral Home (202 E Oxford St, Floyd, VA 24091). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Laurel Branch Church.
