He was predeceased by: his mother L. D. Dancy; his siblings, Ginny Dancy and Claude Dancy; his nephews, Dan Agnew and Randy Dancy; and his niece Rhonda Agnew.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Dancy; his children, Jennifer Myrick (John) of Dolphin, VA. and Nick Dancy of Buena Vista, VA; his grandsons, John D Myrick of Dolphin, VA, Andrew P Myrick of Dolphin, VA and Knox N Dancy of Buena Vista, VA; his sisters, Helen Vaugha and Jeanette D Agnew of Floyd, VA.; his son J. R. Brewer of Floyd, VA.; his niece Gwen; and his nephew Brent Hendrick of Floyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that were greatly loved along with many cousins and friends.
