He is survived by: his children, William R. "Billy" Sawyers (Kathy Sue) of Crimora, Victor A. Sawyers (Angela) of Verona and Edna L. McManaway (Will) of Greenville; his siblings, Troy Sawyers (Cindy) of Greenville, TN, Linda Anderson of Woodstock and Charlotte Martin of Leesburg; his grandchildren, Anthony Sawyers (Lacie), Skyler Webb, Corey McManaway, Jonah Sawyers (Tyler) and Tori Henry; his great grandchildren, Owen, Huxley, Oliver, Jupiter, Saturn, Aubree, Mason, Tatum, Eli and Lillith; his son-in-law Will McManaway; and his grandson Thunder Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pines Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery (3204 Cold Springs Rd, Greenville, VA 24440).
