She is survived by: her daughter Linda Simmons; her grandchildren, Lenwood F. Simmons, Jr., Marian Simmons, Melissa Gibson (Jamie) and Kevin Simmons; and her great grandchildren, Morgan Simmons, McKensley Gibson and Adelynn Simmons.
