James Eugene DeWitt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2025, at the age of 91, James Eugene DeWitt of Fishersville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeWitt and Ruth DeWitt (Shoemaker); his son Jay DeWitt; his siblings, Robert "Bob" DeWitt, Katherine Furst and Connie Holton; and his great grandchild Miles Stohlmann.
He is survived by: his wife Judy DeWitt (Cash); his former spouse Cleo DeWitt (Campbell); his stepson Cody Harris; his sister-in-law Shirley DeWitt; his daughter-in-law Trish O'Brian Dewitt; his grandchildren, Alex Clark, Jess Hayden, Jodi Stohlmann, Dakota DeWitt, Caden Painter and Walker Harris; his great grandchildren, Alexander Clark, Brooks Hayden, Scout Hayden, Lincoln Stohlmann and Vaughn Stohlmann; and also, Denise DeWitt, Bernice DeWitt-Witul and Faith Alderfer (Ed). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Bethel Church (148 Rock Mountain Ln, Crimora, VA 24431). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
