We bid farewell to Eugene T. Whitesell of Fishersville, Virginia, born in Greenville, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 11, 2024 at the age of 93. Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayt Hamilton, Sr. and Charlene Catherine McLear Whitesell; his former wife Doris Jean Smiley Whitesell; his daughter Debra Kay Whitesell Rasnake; his stepgreat-granddaughter Addison Bower; and his siblings, Russell Henderson Whitesell, Fred Wilson Whitesell, Sr., Carl "Joe" Glenwood Whitesell, Wayt Hamilton Whitesell, Jr., Paul Archie Whitesell, Helen Catherine Whitesell Cash, Mabel Virginia Whitesell Campbell and Shirley Ann Whitesell Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Jane Gilbert Whitesell; his daughter Kim Ellen Whitesell Craig (John H. Craig III); his grandsons, Scott Craig and Victor Rosen (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Aidan, Morgan Craig, Hudson and Henley Rosen; his stepdaughter Denise Hughes Brooks; his stepgrandchildren, Brett, Kayla and Derek Bower; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Bryce and Wyatt Bower. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
