She was predeceased by: her parents, William Homer Fitzgerald and Ruby Lee Vance Fitzgerald; and her siblings, John Marion Fitzgerald, Judith Mae Fitzgerald Quick and Mary Sue Fitzgerald Coffey.
She is survived by: her husband Ernest "Richard" Eckard Jr.; her children, William Richard Eckard (Frostie) and Melissa Ann Carter; her siblings, Henry Freed Fitzgerald and Patsy Ann Fitzgerald Lunsford; and her grandchildren, Kristi Eckard, MacKenzie Carter and Colby Dylan Snyder.
