He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Franklin Berry, Sr. and Margie Louise Berry (Baylor); his children, Steven Franklin "Steve" Berry and Cathi Rae Lovegrove (Berry); and his brother Fred Lee Berry, Sr..

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jacob Lovegrove of Radford and Jodi Simpson (Jon) of Beaufort; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Simpson and Chloe Simpson.
