It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberta Edith Wade (Fishersville, Virginia), who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Rose and Albert "Chuck" Ross; her son Albert Wade; her daughter-in-law Diane Wade; her brother Leroy Rose; and her close friend James Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Johnson, Kay Wade (Paul), John Wade, Winfred Wade, Angel Woodard, Ava Sheffey, Leroy Carter and Bernard Johnson; her brother Marcellus Rose; her sister-in-law Sylvia Wade (Mae); her grandchildren, Sheree Parker-Barney (Tony), Lamont Sheffey, Cevi Wade, Alta Louise Wade, Amy Woodard and Tiara Ellis (Rob); her great grandchildren, Damien, Griffin (Regina), Christopher, Raesaun, Dariel, Leon, Gregory, Avah D, Joshua, Diane, Dylan, Kathleen, Tyson, Isabella and Tyler; her caregivers, Nakia Wade, Margie Jones-Terrell and Arlene Golden; and also, Delores Winston (George), Barbara Jean Wade and Tee McCarthy. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home (619 Lifecore Dr, Fishersville, VA 22939). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Restoration Ministries (223 Oak Grove Church Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
