It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Clinton Mahony of Fincastle, Virginia, born in Oceanside, New York, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph V. Mahony and Mary C. Bettman Mahony; and his daughter Deborah Mahony. He is survived by: his wife Bette L. Oberdorfer Mahony; his children, Peter Clinton Mahony, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Brian Peter Mahony (Rebecca) of Greensboro, Diane Fitzgerald of Roanoke, Eileen O'Toole (Thomas) of Charlotte and Megan Murray (Christopher) of Roanoke; and his sister Kathleen Pierce of Long Island. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
